Arete does not collect any data. The rest of this page explains what that means.
Nothing. Arete has no account, sign-up or login. It contains no analytics, tracking, advertising or third-party code, and the app makes no network requests of any kind.
Everything you enter (workouts, routines, food, body weight, water, notes and settings) is stored only on your iPhone. It is never uploaded, synced or shared, because Arete has no servers to send it to. If you back up your iPhone to iCloud or a computer, Apple includes the app's data in that backup, as with any app.
If you turn on the optional Sleep feature and allow it, Arete reads your sleep data from Apple Health to adjust that day's recovery score. This happens on your iPhone only. Arete never writes to Apple Health, never sends Health data anywhere, and never uses it for advertising. You can turn off access at any time in the Settings app under Privacy & Security → Health → Arete.
You can export your data as spreadsheets or a backup file. The file goes only where you choose to send or save it.
You can delete any entry in the app. Deleting the app removes everything it stored. Because we never receive your data, there is nothing for us to delete and no data request to make.
Arete is not directed at children under 13. It collects no data from anyone, children included.
Any change will be posted on this page with a new date above. If a future version of Arete ever collected data, this page would say so first.
